苦等了兩三個月，哥大的DS昨天終于放了一批結果。有人說，哥大的DS和EE是學校最水的項目，先不說這樣說把QMSS、OR、統計，以及SPS學院的項目等置于何地（開個玩笑），單單看到21和22年DS的錄取情況，智友君就很費解：水從何來？

當然，每個人對“水”的理解不同，有的說招的人多=水，有的說中國人多=水，有的說課程不是自己想要的=水，有的說就業服務不行=水，還有的說錄取分數低=水……要是爭論下來沒有結果。今天智友君就幫忙整理了解一下項目的情況，然后水不水你們說了算。

一、學制&學費

哥大的DS是由文理學院的統計系和工程學院的CS、IEOR系聯合辦理，設立在Data Science Institute。大部分學生選擇1年修完課程，但也可以2年完成此項目。

課程學習壓力較大（好像對陸本的學生來說，剛去國外壓力都大）。對于Statistics類課程，本科學過相關課程的話可以參加waive考試，考試通過可以選擇更好的課程替代。哥大的NLP、ML類的課程是哥大的強項，選課競爭比較激烈。具體選擇什么課程，可以咨詢Advisor和學長學姐的意見。

三、申請要求

前提課程：

量化課程如微積分、線性代數等；計算機編程，碩士課程中會要求R、Python、shell scripts、C和Java，你們看著辦吧。

根據這兩年的錄取結果發放情況來看，會在3月下旬開始發放錄取，持續到4、5月份。不好的消息是，到4月底5月初，大部分都是拒信了。

四、錄取情況

官網FAQ里還是19年的數據，當時PT和FT的學生一共有150人左右，平均本科GPA3.76，GRE 168 (Q)、158 (V)、3.8 (W)。截止到21年5月，MSDS有679位校友。根據不完全統計，21年入學人數共有200左右。

智友君搜集了21年和22年的49個錄取案例，背景情況僅供參考：

陸本里主要有清華、北大、同濟、武大、山大、南大等top985院校。

單從錄取情況來看，錄取的學生肯定不水，都是非常優秀。
